The DUFF, an American comedy film that hit the screens in 2015, is a classic example of a movie that surpasses expectations. This movie has a unique way of enticing its viewers to connect with its characters and their struggles. Directed by Ari Sandel, The DUFF is based on an adapted novel by Kody Keplinger, and the storyline revolves around the life of Bianca Piper (Mae Whitman).
Bianca Piper is just like every other high school student: she is trying to balance her academics with her social life. She’s smart and quirky, but unlike her friends, she’s not Instagram or boy-obsessed. But when she learns she’s labeled as the “Designated Ugly Fat Friend” or DUFF for short, it turns her world upside down.
